A pilgrimage route round Salzburg’s borders; from Ramingstein towards Ruine Thurnschall to Lessach. The route carries on up to Wildbachhütte towards Göriach.

Lungauer KULTURWANDERWEG

A circular path through Lungau; information about Lungau’s history, legends or mining history is provided along the path! You may also enter the path with a buggy!

Höhenweg 702 or Tauernhöhenweg

Departing from Giglachseehütte oder Ignaz-Mattis-Hütte, the path nr. 702 leads you to the beautiful Keinprechthütte which lies 1872 meters above the sea level. Via “Trockenbroscharte” you reach a hut named “Landawirseehütte”. From Gollingscharte you reach Greifenberg (2618m), Klafferscharte and Preintalerhütte. You may descend towards Hinteralm and finally take a rest in Lessach.

Pilgrimage route “the book’s path” – on the tracks of the bible-smugglers

From Schladming over the Giglachseen (i.e. the lakes of Giglach) up to Preintalerhütte (overnight stay). Next day you may continue up to Waldhorntörl (2283 m) or follow the path across the Steirische Klafferkessel. Descend towards Zwerfenbergsee. 3hours hiking-time left to Laßhoferalm. You may order our local bus from there that will take you to Lessach. Distance Lessach – Laßhoferalm: 7 kilometers
